Stay Away from the 405
Silly me decided to take another route to work one morning. Instead of taking the 210-W to the 101-S to the 105-W, I decided to take the 210-W to the 134-W to the 101-N to 405-S to the 105-S. Even just from typing it right now, it sounds like a big mistake. That route looked more “green” on Sigalert but Google Maps showed the complete opposite. Had I checked Google Maps earlier, I would not have been in this situation. I was crawling from the intersection of the 101-N to the 405-N and until I passed the Wilshire exit. That added a pleasant 40 minutes to my commute that morning. I learned my lesson to use Google Maps from now on and stay away from the 405.
